Drag to rake the sand
The practice
Pressure, breath,
and a long, slow stretch.
Traditional Thai massage works along the sen lines that run the length of the body. Palms, thumbs and forearms move down them in a steady rhythm, then assisted stretches open the hips, shoulders and back. It is firmer than most people expect, and quieter than most people are used to.
If you would rather have oil, our Swedish massage is long warm strokes, and the hot stone treatment adds heated river stones for the tension that will not shift. Either way: one room, one therapist, door closed.
An hour off the clock
Low light, warm towels, incense, and a door that closes behind you.
Work where it is needed
Methodical pressure along the muscles that have carried your week.
Leave standing taller
Looser shoulders, slower breathing, and the rest of the day ahead of you.
The therapists
Ten years of practice, each.
Anna, Tip and Jeena have each been working with their hands for more than a decade. Whoever you see, you are in experienced hands — and you are welcome to ask for the therapist you got on with last time.

Thai massage in Bristol,
answered.
The questions people usually ask before a first visit to our Clifton studio.
Where in Bristol are you?
Our studio is at 33 Regent Street, in the heart of Clifton Village, BS8 4HR. Look for the gold palm on the fascia and the frosted palm fronds in the windows.
Do I need to book, or can I walk in?
Either. Walk-ins are welcome whenever a therapist is free, but evenings and weekends fill up, so booking ahead is the safest way to get the hour you want. Message us on WhatsApp on 0744 246 9395.
What should I wear for a traditional Thai massage?
Loose, comfortable clothing. Traditional Thai massage is worked through clothing with no oil, so you stay dressed throughout. For Swedish oil, deep tissue and hot stone treatments, oil is used on the skin and you are covered with towels.
What is the difference between Thai massage and deep tissue massage?
Traditional Thai massage works acupressure along the sen lines together with assisted stretching — rhythmic, and you are moved through positions. Thai deep tissue therapy is slower and firmer, staying in the deeper muscle layers where tension has set in. Choose deep tissue for stubborn knots; choose Thai if you feel stiff and want length and mobility back.
How long are treatments, and what do they cost?
Most treatments run 30, 60 or 90 minutes. Every treatment, its lengths and its current price are listed in the Treatments section above.
When are you open?
Seven days a week. Monday to Saturday, 10am until 8pm. Sunday, 11am until 6pm.
Who will be treating me?
Anna, Tip and Jeena. Each has more than ten years' experience in traditional Thai bodywork, and each will adjust pressure and technique to whatever your body needs that day.
Is there a treatment for desk and screen tension?
Yes — the Thai Back, Neck, Head & Shoulder treatment covers everything above the waist and is the one most people book for laptop shoulders and a tight neck. Available as a half hour or a full hour.
